What's the type of transgender?

Cross-dressers
The first type of transgender is are cross-dressers. Cross-dressers refer to who wear clothing and accessories typically opposite with their gender or in the simple words their appearance opposite with their gender. As example, men wear women clothing and women wear men clothing. The cross-dresser term is preferred to the term transvestite. Cross-dressing may be just happen in the particular situation, for specific occasions, or in all aspect of cross-dresser person. Some people cross-dresser primarily for performance and usually we call this groups as drag queens, drag kings, male and female impersonators. On the other hand, for other cross-dressing is a private activity. Usually, cross-dressers people just questions their role or gender expression such as, how they are supposed to appear in society or to act but they not questions about their gender identity. Beside that, these groups don't want to live as the opposite gender or in the other words impossible for them to change their gender. As example, male cross-dressers still live as male and comfortable being male forever. In general, majority of cross-dressers are heterosexual.

Intersexual@'Khunsa'
Second type of transgender is a intersexual. Intersexuals refer to people who are born with of both male and female sex characteristics. In the same way, we also identify these people as 'khunsa'. Intersexuals happen because these people may have some of the sex or reproductive organ of both sexes. Discrepancies between chromosome, gonadol or hormone sex also can cause anybody be intersexuals person. Intersexuals people often do surgery altered at birth or at puberty. In many cases, usually a physician always decides what sex the child will be based on the number of variables, including appearance of external genitalia, chromosome and potential fertility beside the other factors. Some intersexuals feel angry because they do not given entitle to choice and determining their own gender. However, they feel comfortable with the sex assigned to them, but not satisfied because they were not given choice about what was being done. On the other hand, some intersexuals feel that the physician choice the wrong gender for them. Consequence from this situation, they never felt that the gender assigned to them, or they are really in the opposite gender. For example, an intersexual who was labelled as male at birth may grow up feeling and believing that he was a girl, though raised as a boy. Because of that, some intersexuals want to change their gender because they want the gender same with they feeling. So, they change they gender through undergo hormone or surgical treatment. However, many intersexuals are comfortable with the gender assigned to them, without undergo gender identity conflicts.

Transsexuals also one types of transgender. They are have conflict between their physical self and their sense of identity. Besides that, their do surgery to transform their body so that suitable with their identity. This surgery includes taking hormone and undergoing sex reassignment surgery (SRS) to solve their conflict in themself. Transsexuals have 2 subsets namely transsexual woman a biological male with a female identity and Transsexual man a biological female with a male identity. Transsexual live with their gender or choose other for suitable with their physical. If want do desire sex reassignment, transsexuals will refer to Gender Identity Clinic for see physicians and mental health professional. The purpose for assess level a Gender Identity Disorder and to able or not live with in the gender their identity. On the other hand, if transsexuals take the decision to do hormone therapy or surgery, their must take risks because their physical will changes. In this case, not all transsexuals want to do surgery.

The last types of transgender is a transgenderists. Transgenderists refer to individual who has a gender identity but does not match with their assigned sex or identity. The biological sex of transgenderists usually be a source of great distress to them. So, that's why in generally transgenderists are not comfortable with their bodies and the physical characteristics that do not fit with their identity. Transgenderists people also can identify as heterosexual, bisexual, lesbian, or gay. However, heterosexual transgenderists often assumeed to be same-sex oriented because others do not see, or believe their gender identity. As example, a transgenderists men who identify as gay, may be see the other as a heterosexual woman. In generally, most transgenderists have an intense desire for consistency between their gender identity, their physical self and their gender role. Transgenderists may be have same meaning with transsexual but still have different with these two type. Transgenderists different with transsexual because usually transgenderists do not change their sex or gender identity but most transsexual do surgery to change their gender or sex identity. In the same way, transgenderists person not do surgery because they more likely to find acceptance dressing as male and more to exhibiting traditional masculine characteristics in their self.

Can transgender survive in Malaysia..How?

Phenomenon in western countries than can be said is new in our country. But not many who have been denied do to become a person that they want, but whether they can live and survive with the way they choose? Let us together give opinions.

post by: Rozana(A128055)

Phenomenon transgenders are coming in Malaysian. When the media exposure about Fatine Young's immigration dilemma, questions have arisen on whether our society can accept transgenders. Fatine Young have an experience of when married a British man and is about to be deported to Malaysian for overstaying. If in western transgenders not issue, all of them can married but not in Malaysian. Marry with same gender not allow in our society. In Malaysian, perception society about transgenders is that the lead an immoral life, because the transgenders not suitable with our cultural.

post by: Payaliza (A127340)

Very hard for trangender to survive in Malaysia because our country have our norm.We are not like western that they don't have norm because they can do all the thing they like .I said that because we can see in western there are a bad social culture. For example, having child before they get married, lesbian, gay, and also highest for criminal. If transgender can survive in Malaysia ,there are only certain-certain case that we cannot see.

Post by:nur radia harun( A128048)

Transgender people can survive in Malaysia but difficult because our country have our own law about this problem especially based on our religous 'Islam' as a official religous in Malaysia. This is because in Islam and as a Islamic person we can't be transgender people even dressed the opposite sex. As we know, before this Majlis Agama Islam in our country want to discharge a new law or 'fatwa' about transgender in our country. This new law or 'fatwa' means our leaders want to get rid of transgender culture in Malaysia. Beside that, not all Malaysian can accept transgender people in their society. As example, in Kenya they religous extremism don't accept transgender people in they county. Transgender people in Kenya cannot access gender-reassigment therapy in they public hospitals because of relagious extremism. However, today we can see transgender people can survive in Malaysia if they don't do anything wrong in our country.

post by: azia diana (A127518)

Transgender actually is cannot survive in Malaysia country this is because in society and our government in Malaysia cannot really accept yet the transgender. But, now we can see there are several people in Malaysia change their gender even get opposition from certain parties. Besides, the thing about country Malaysia, transgender has no provision in the law . So, this is very difficult to transgender people to make all things in their live in Malaysia. For example when they want to buy insurance, the company that sells insurans cannot accept their application because they have the status of gender is not clear.

What is the effect of transgender to the society?

Recently, the issue about transgender in our society is a big issue for us. This issue can make our society change in the future. There are several effects of transgender to the society. The first effect is issue transgender also maybe a serious human rights issue. The second effect is issues transgender can destroy the next generation in our society. The third effect is disturb the community activity because less comfortable with their existence. Besides that, the effect transgender can disturb the law in Muslim community because it would involve marriage affair, guardianship matters, distribution of the inheritance and so on.

post by: Nor Atiqah(A119637)

For our country transgender something difficult to accept because the act is in violation of existing law. Various negative effects can be seen if this act continues. Among damage faith self and giving a bad example to people about their perspectives. Walupun we find these groups do not interfere with other people's lives but their actions give a negative value to society. We should be aware of this growing culture and society as a cultural practice that this matter should be contained eastern may violate other religions.

post by:Rozana(A128055)

The another effect of transgender to the society is make society feel afraid to face with them. This situation happen because in Malaysian have occurred murdered cases among transgender. This cases makes society afraid to approach them or befriend with them. Society also feel more hate to these groups and also can cause quarrels among society in our country. In the same way, transgendered people also can increasing HIV/AIDS disease because many transgender become sex workers to get money for their life. As example, at San Francisco many transgendered people become sex workers because they face numerous obstacles to employment, housing, health care and schooling, because of societal prejudice against them.

post by: Azia Diana(A 127518)

we can see averywhere there are so many people that changes their identity and become new people like women to be a man and man to be a women. Our soiety have our own culture that we accept generation to generation. So,when trangender happen in our society, of course we cannot accept. We will lost our race identity like fashion ,ethics and others.Don't let our race identity lost because this issues.

Effect transgenders to community are centred on their jobs because they are have qualified but when they are convert genders, they are stiil considered "male" or "female" in their identity cards. On the other hand, they are not been able to get employment because of the dressing not same in their identity cards. As a result many become sex workers and work in professions associated with women to make a living. At the same time, their works can contribute to increasing problems HIV/AIDS.

What are the factors that contribute to trangender

There are many factors that contribute to transgender.I think environment is the main factors for this issues.Every human whereas women or men have been born normal, but normally their environment make them not sure about their normal identity.Nowadays,we can see there are many women become men and men become women.Friends are the person that can influence they become like that.

post by:nur radia (A128048)

There are a number of factors including the influence of family, friends, or yourself. Environment conditions are important factors besides the influence of genes. Factors from family, have children who want to follow the will of parents when a child is born but not as desired cause that the child is raised as they want, eventually led to conflict in themselves since smaller changes to give himself up about his actual role. Interactions between partners as they were encouraging their friends also despite the fact that they know who they are themselves. From which you want to make themselves up as the preferred or life experiences that caused them to choose to transgender.

post by:Rozana (A128055)

Besides, physical aspect is also contribute the factor to transgender. In malaysia one case about 'Khunsa', can affected someone become transgender. This is because they had two identity women or men in theirself.

post by: Nor Atiqah (A119637)

The main factor contribute to transgenders is environment. For example in family, parents educate their son in the same educate a daughters because in the family have more daughters. So after a son grow up, he will confuse with theirself. Base on theory Erik Erikson, their have an experience of identity vs identity cofusion. Therefore, their have an identity crisis do not seem to know where they belong or what they want to become. In the same way, when their meet other person like them, their instinct to become "female" more insist. If their life not suitable with their family, their became a teenage runaway.

post by: Payaliza (A127340)

Past history also one of the factors that contribute to the symptom of transgender. This case because, according to psychologists past history will effect a person life in the future. For example, if a women has a bad history because a men, that women will probably hate the men because the history. At the same time, that women needs a love affection and love but because they don't like a men they will fall in love with someone from the same gender. These groups not only needs physical sexual but more to the emotions needs like love.

Beside of that, external influences such as film also can causes the symptoms of transgender. Usually, many the western film stories related to the transgender life. This kind of stories can contribute to the transgender symptoms. Avatar is a one of the western film that the stories related to the transgender life. Not impossible if this film will influence anyone to be a transgender person, especially for those who are already have the desire to be a transgender person.

What is transgender?

According to the book about Gender Issues and Sexuality, transgendered can define as individuals assume a different gender identity then that which corresponds to their physiological sex. There are men who live as women, women who live as men, and individuals who shift between genders.

Trasgender person always face a greater social stigma than their gay peers.Trangender is difficult to understood.

Transgender also can describes an identity adopted by those who are uncomfortable in their gender of the birth.

post by: Nor Atiqah (a119637)

Transgenderists are men and women who prefer to steer away from gender role extremes and perfect an androgynous presentation of gender. They incorporate elements of both masculinity and femininity into their appearance. Some persons may see them as male, and by others as female. They may live part of their life as a man, and part as a woman, or they may live entirely in their new gender role but without plans for genital surgery.

post by:rozana (A128055)

Transgender is the third gender and is often for life. A transsexual is a subset of a transgender. Sometimes, a transvetite dressing look like other gender. They are often do hormone treatment, have done plastic surgery. So, man become women and women become man. A transgender will find that no different from mainstream society.

post by:Payaliza (A127340)

Transgender means someone who undergo cross gender identity, behaviour, and feeling. Transgender also can refer to people who identifies more with the opposite gender than the one they were born in. Transgender person like men who feel like they should have been born as women and women who feel like they are really men inside. Transgender person may eventually do sex change operation, or may simply to dressed and act as someone of the gender with which they identify. Transgender also don't have any specific form or sexual orientation. They may identify as heterosexual, homosexual, bisexual, pansexual, or asexual. But, most transgender identify themselves as heterosexual.

post by:Azia Diana-A 127518

"Transgender" at its must basic level,as is a word that applies to someone who doesn't fit within society's standards of how a woman or a man is supposed to look or act.For example "transgender" may be used to describe someone who was assigned female at birth but later realizes that label doesn't accurately reflect who they feel they are inside.
